SWING! SWING! SWING! That´s the credo of Marina & The Kats!
Hot grooves, sort of dreamdancing melodies, trendy guitars, souldriving drums, and allover the charming voice of gorgous Marina, doing her easy-looking part of "scatty" vocal solos. When fingers snip and eyes glimpse - then it´s prime time on the dancefloor.
All started with a nice and normal evening in a pub in Graz, Austria. Listening to longplay-records of Louis Prima, Gene Krupa, Benny Goodman, Anita O´Day ... That evening the musicians realized: Jazz IS dance-music. Jazz is THAT very form of dance-music. Tehy fell in love with the retrosound - and a new ensemble was born.
Not only covering the hits of early-days of swing, also performing own compositions and songs - it´s like a rollercoaster drive between retro & modern, but in their own and very unique lovely style!
